Fall is my favorite time of year in Ohio. On the evening of Sept. 25 my grandpa called and wanted me to look outside to the west. The sunset was spectacular.

~★~Mom’s Weekend~★~
I spent the weekend with my daughter at Miami University. Her sorority sponsored a Mom's Weekend. Her sisters are fabulous and so are their mothers. My daughter and I had girl scout cookies at the club uptown. Go Redhawks! I miss you already Jennie!

Waiting for Spring
I have been really busy with school. Pharmacology and nursing tests, writing history papers and practicing skills are the only things I seem to do anymore. I am anxious for the Bluebirds to start nesting. My next project is to get the boxes out.

~✰~ 2009 Winterfest ~✰~
These are a few of the ice sculptures from the Winterfest held earlier this month. It was too cold for me to attend the show. The sun was shining the Monday after, so I took a stroll through town. All I needed was a ton of food surrounding them and I would have thought I was in the dining room on a cruise ship! Visiting Antartica, of course.

~*European Feel*~

I finally finished up the bathroom project. My husband and son did most of the tile work. Now when I walk across the floor I can imagine that I am in Europe (well, actually Turkey- it's Turkish Travertine.) I loved visiting Italy. Our guide informed us that the hotels only use shower curtains and bathtubs to accommodate Americans. European bathrooms are usually completely tiled, with a drain in the floor. They just shower and let the water flow. Interesting. I would hate to clean all the grout and soap scum.
